Allan Bancroft Heaver, Managing Member of Heaver Properties
Mr. Heaver was raised in Roland Park. The beloved son of the late Stephen G. Heaver Sr. and Doris A. Heaver, Allan went on to attend The McDonogh School where he graduated in 1969. Mr. Heaver was a resident of Indigo Farms in Clarksville, Maryland. Whether at his home in Butler or on the farm in Clarksville he was always a true Marylander but he always found time to be an avid traveler exploring some of the world’s most exotic locations including: Bora Bora, Tahiti; Costa Rica and Bermuda.
A long-standing member of The Baltimore Country Club he always enjoyed a good round of golf. In his free time he could be found on the beach at his summer home in Ocean City where he would enjoy a bucket of “English’s Fried Chicken”. Having spent his summers living at the beach he went onto venture into various culinary endeavors including cooking for: Paul Revere Smorgasbord and General’s Kitchen and his love of cooking continued throughout his life A long time season ticket holder, he supported the Colts, Orioles and Ravens for many years. Known as “The Beav” to many he will be missed by all who have had the privileged of knowing him. Known for his passion for collecting egg plates and beavers; friends always knew the perfect gift. He was able to touch so many lives whether coaching lacrosse, volunteering on boards, or meeting with tenants at Heaver Plaza or any of his other buildings. He was a member of various civic and professional organizations including: Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA); National Aquarium Stingray Club; Ocean City Parrothead Club; Wyman Park Federal Savings and Loan, Chairman Board of Directors; Fire Museum of Maryland; Rocky Mountain College, Board of Trustees; United Way of Maryland; Chesapeake Habitat for Humanity; Westminster House Apartments, Maryland Special Olympics; Marigot Beach Condominium, President; St. James Lacrosse Program in Monkton; The American Lung Association’s Task Force for Indoor Air Quality in Maryland; Baltimore Integrated Environmental Management Project Task Force for the EPA. Memorial Services are scheduled for Tuesday July 7Th at the Ruck Funeral Home, 1050 York Road, Towson. A greeting of friends and family is to begin at 3:00 P.M., to be followed by a memorial service from 4:00 –5:00 P.M. Mr. Heaver is survived by his loving wife Debbie, and children Darcy Heaver Buck, Brandon T. Heaver, Chris and Erin Wilhelm; he was the beloved grandfather of J. Tyler Buck and brother of Stephen G. Heaver Jr. |
