Heaver Properties is a
commercial property management and development firm formed in 1986 from the
Stephen G. Heaver Company, which was started in 1957.
The company is divided into three divisions, management, maintenance, and
construction services. Each
division is led by a separate manager,
and all
divisions are under the control of Al Heaver.
During the past 10 years, it has developed the O'Connor, Piper & Flynn
Building, 1402 York Road, consisting of 18,000 square feet, added a 10,000
square foot addition to an existing single tenant car dealership in Towson, and
renovated the Executive Building, 30,000 square feet, at 22 West Road
in Towson. The O'Connor,
Piper & Flynn Building was the recipient of an award of excellence from the
Associated Builders and Contractors and the Executive Building received the same
award, as well as the BOMA Building of the Year Award for Renovated Buildings.
Heaver Properties currently manages 15 commercial buildings in the Towson to
Hunt Valley area for itself, the Heaver family, and as a fee manager for outside
clients. It handles an annual
volume of renovations within these buildings between $300,000 and $700,000, as
well as negotiating all leases and agreements.
In the planning stage, a new 160,000 square foot
tower to compliment the existing Heaver Plaza. After the development of Heaver Plaza II,
plans will begin for a new mixed use commercial project in Towson on 5 acres currently
owned by the Heaver family. This
new venture could include structured parking, office, and retail, restaurant
facilities with a maximum square footage of 650,000 square feet.
